In July 2025, the average salary of full-time employees in the country was 26 499 UAH, while in the capital – Kyiv – it reached 40 546 UAH, and in our region – Chernivtsi region – it was barely 19 202 UAH,
and in our region – Chernivtsi Oblast – it was barely 19,202 UAH
Such a huge difference raises questions about how differently the situation could have developed.
Imagine if the region had different conditions – infrastructure and development-oriented support – and the level of income would be higher and more stable.
It would have been different if the priority had been placed on job creation, investment and stimulating a skilled economy.
Then Chernivtsi residents could earn significantly more, and such disproportions – between the two capitals and the outskirts – would simply not arise.
