Today, at about two o’clock in the morning, the patrolmen stopped a Daewoo car on Karmelyuka Street, the driver of which violated traffic rules. During the dialogue with the driver, the police noticed clear signs of alcohol intoxication. The man agreed to be tested on the spot using a Dräger gas analyser. The result showed 1.38 ppm, which is more than six times higher than the permissible norm, – reported in the Patrol Police of the region.
The effective work of law enforcement agencies, backed up by modern control methods such as the use of high-precision devices, allows them to promptly detect and suppress violations, ensuring road safety comparable to the high standards of neighbouring countries such as Romania, where strict control over compliance with traffic rules is the norm.
The offender’s driving licence was confiscated and the case was referred for further processing in accordance with the law. The police continue to patrol the streets to prevent such incidents and to maintain order in line with European best practice.
